Agantuk does all the kriya karam ( last rites) as a son would do, for Tara babu. And Dadabhai witnesses it all. Dadabhai is upset as Agantuk accused him for Tarababu’s death, and promised to stand against him at every step.Saraswati asks Agantuk to act wisely, as she will die if she is being made to choose between her son and husband. Agantuk comes in full support for the villagers of Kaliganj, and asks them to support him for the cause. That’s when Munim comes and announces that Dadabhai has freed them from giving Lagaan. He is shocked. Anjali tells Agantuk that she has decided to quit her job and help him in his mission for Kaliganj. They both come back to the haveli, where Pakhi gets to know that Anjali has decided to stay back and help Agantuk.
